Now i know the likely hood of this happening is 95% impossible, but let's say Nintendo cause such a huge problem for Game Freak and The Pokemon Company (for example, bad treatment and enough people sue), the Japanese government forces Nintendo to give up the rights to Pokemon. And to pour salt into the shotgun blast, Sony fully buys out Game Freak and The Pokemon Company, giving them 100% control and ownership of the licence.

Sony is not doing too well in the gaming world at the moment, likely why they are choosing to release more "exclusives" on PC after all these years.

More likely to happen would be Microsoft or EA buying up Pokemon since they have a lot more money to waste.

They really couldn't ruin Pokemon any more than Nintendo has... I stopped caring about Pokemon after they introduced talking dining chairs and ice cream cones.

So it would likely be a bunch of reboots and crossovers with their own established I.P.s.... And another few rounds of un-creative Pokemon updates based on anthropomorphic office furniture... Then just more reboots and re-releases.
