This topic is entitled:
Nihilism: Opinions.
I have a VERY strong opinion
You can link it then, right? I'd rather you respond to Holo, you guys are having a fun conversation here.
You definitely have an opinion though.
But given what you've posted, it may be that you aren't quite clear on what nihilism is. Maybe it's better to claim that you have a strong opinion on 'evil' or 'hope.'
Not exactly a rocket but this ought to do it just as well...

Definition of nihilism
1a : a viewpoint that traditional values and beliefs are unfounded and that existence is senseless and useless Nihilism is a condition in which all ultimate values lose their value.— Ronald H. Nash
b : a doctrine that denies any objective ground of truth and especially of moral truths
I could link a much more thorough study on Nihilism if you like.
TBH, I think the Hinduist perspective of a "Creator", "Maintainer" and "Destroyer" is pretty spot-on to describe the energies present in the Universe itself.
"Creator" (Brahma) is the energy that creates things and wants to expand.
"Destroyer" (Shiva) is the energy that destroys things and wants to revert back to point of origin.
"Maintainer" (Vishnu) is the energy that keeps a "cosmic balance", that neither "Creator" nor "Destroyer" fully prevail one over another.
But all these are still below a "higher deity" - Brahman.
From Brahman, all these energies emanate from.
I don't care I believe the earth is a globe, but that's not what he said, he also asked that it not be a fish eye lens.
Globers and flat earthers are both stupid.
The earth is really just a holographic simulation in a sentient A.I.s dream of electric sheep.
This probably won't convince him since you have to eventually move somewhat parallel to the earth to actually achieve orbit AROUND it, but until we go back to the moon or mars again we probably can't give him the footage he wants of a rocket leaving the Earth until the point it is a big round rotating ball. The fact that the continents are arranged the way they are on the majority of this kind of footage should make him think too. Also since spacecraft separate into stages having an uninterrupted camera that isn't jettisoned at some point is kind of difficult.
But be aware that Ronald Nash is a religious scholar. And is tied to all sorts of stupid opinions and viewpoints.
I would have preferred that you choose a more 'refined' source like a philosophical dictionary, or even Oxford dictionary. But for purposes of this thread, Merriam is fine.
Wow that is a very nice video tho, that is bound to mess with their head a lil bit, thank you sir.
Nihilism isn't evil in itself any more than a laugh is a deadly plague. You mentioned it yourself:
Nihilists have no interest in this moral mental construct called "evil" any more than they have any interest in the idea of being "good". neither of them are valid in any way shape or form. In fact a nihilist wouldn't care how much you attack their values, your point is ultimately meaningless to them no matter what you state.
as for this idea of torturing a puppy, why would a nihilist care for a single puppy or an ant or a blackbird? it's all one and the same, it has no purpose or value to them so torturing such a creature is ultimately without any reason or purpose, in fact the very idea is without meaning.
