Flags are bits of colored cloth that governments use first to shrink-wrap people's minds & then as ceremonial shrouds to bury the dead.

The gold is probably just decoration on top of that.

No offense to all those among us who are really patriot.

But you can't call me the idiot. I learnt ever since I was a kid how the milgram experiment works, how you are taught, even brainwashed into respecting authority figures without question your own morals or ethical values, even if it goes completely against it. Even Hitler used that tactic himself. Yet we still teach it in schools to date...

I just refuse the concept of separation of the same pile of dirt we all live on called Earth. A flag only divides us more, there's little to no other point or reason for it.

As for a gold fringe around it, well that's a crime according to some laws as it's mutilation of the well worshipped flag. Some of your flag worshippers would even be against that idea. Yet I find that stupid too.

Don't believe me, look it up, I bet you there will be groups of individuals demanding and rioting in protest of just that gold fringe on the flag. Remove it now or else!

I personally have better things to do in life...

You can't shrink wrap cloth, it's not airtight

We have a logical one!

It's just a quote from Arundhati Roy, speaking about human rights and environmental causes.

Which was taken off an Anonymous exposing video "the video the pentagon doesn't want you to see". That shows the other side of warfare and the reason why terrorism was created, etc. It's the flip side of the coin. The idea of being a hero and patriot is just an illusion to your own side of bias.

This is a much lighter version of it's meaning:

This is the results of the so-called winners, we are left to clean up the mess:

Short answer: Flags only divide and wars are never won

Isn't it the other way around?

You touch the flag and all hell breaks loose! Like it needs to be babied and protected at all costs.

A quick google search reveals:

GET THAT GOLD FRINGE OFF MY FLAG!

NO GOLD FRINGE ON PRESIDENT TRUMP’S FLAGS!

Tax protester conspiracy arguments

(etc)

It's gone to protests, outrage, conspiracies, court cases and everything. Utter stupidity.

Look even New Zealand went through a flag change process.

Originally, they even got school kids to design a new flag for us. Then hired a professional to make some rubbish designs. Which was just a huge waste of tax payers money, then rejected by the citizens multiple times, before the government finally gave up and kept the original.

I personally liked the kiwi bird with laser beams coming out of it's eyes. It was creative and amusing at least. I could really care less for the flag otherwise.

"Wars are never won."

You can't be serious.

We get it bro, you hate patriotism.
Is it wrong that i use a rip up usa flag as rags to clean the house? It was an old torn flag my mom had and instead of throwing it in the garbage i tore it in to rags.
