I'm going to mark my next comment as a Spoiler in case anyone else wants to watch and try to guess WTF the lyrics mean in English before finding out. :-)
BTW... The translated lyrics end with "Until the vet arrives, until the vet arrives. And he definitely arrives!" but in the video, it's clear that it's the female singer in the white jacket that would be the Vet, so not the same as HE arrives."
Appearently there's an older "Offical Video" that fits the song better, but doesn't have sexy girls, which is probably the main point of the newer video is posted here.
After listening to this for the 5th time, I just realized that the female blonde lead singer was quite likely chosen for her looks rather than her singing ability. The reason I say that is because I don't think there is a sing time you can hear her singing without either a reverbation of her own voice, or backup singers being heard at the same time - the sort of thing they'd do if the producer wasn't happy with her voice. The only time you hear her voice without something else mixed in is when she speaks one line rather than sing it.
BTW, I was just reading a lot about the difference between 99 LuftBalloons and the English remake "99 Red Balloons" which did change the meaning of the song quite a bit. Makes me wonder what sort of meaning this song might have had, (if any) that was lost in the translation.
