I have, they're awful. And also extremely bad for you, with a tonne of salt. Like even worse than your usual fast food burger.
still healthier than meat burgers.
Even with non-meat, there's a difference between the stuff you cook at home and the stuff you buy at Burger King.
There's probably a humongous list of foreign sounding words making up those Burger King patties.
since forever? theres a lot of vegans that are vegan for health reasons not just animal welfare.
Comparison between a vegan burger and an actual meat burger:
100 grams (3.5 ounces) of lean ground beef (10% fat) contains:
-217 calories
-12 g fat (5 g saturated)
-90 mg cholesterol
-70 mg sodium
-0 g carbohydrate
-0 g fiber
-26 g protein
The 4-ounce Impossible Burger 2.0 comes pretty close to beef, nutritionally:
-240 calories
-14 g fat (8 g saturated)
-0 g cholesterol
-370 mg sodium
-9 g carbohydrate
-3 g fiber
-19 g protein
Mmmm... Salty fat fake meaty badness!
Vegans care what everyone else eats, that's why they quite often like to go out of their way to shove their ideals in other people's faces while at the same time being giant hypocrites pretending their dietary choices are somehow the best for everyone.
That's why this thread is still going, as the average person minding their own business has gotten tired of the militant vegans always preaching to the lowly meat-eaters and omnivores how much better they think their vegetable religion is.
To the point it has become a long standing joke of:
"How do you know someone is vegan/vegetarian?"
"Oh don't worry, they will gladly tell you for no reason within 5 minutes of meeting them for the first time."
I've tried cutting down on meat. I don't know why, maybe I'm just lazy and a lot of greens seem to keep better. But I will probably never stop it entirely, but I believe I've cut down more than 50% of the meat I used to eat.
I also do believe in balance. Don't remove anything totally, the same can then be said about don't 100% add another thing! :P
