Pepe emoticons are gone for good, your thoughts?

For those of you who missed it, the creator of Pepe filed a copyright claim and Steam removed all the Pepe emoticons from Steam. Well, sorta. Anyone who owns one just gets a blank space when they use it.

What do you all think about it?

Personally, I find it hilarious that they're gone.

Obviously not. It is not Valve's responsibility. If anything, the issue should be taken up with the game devs who submitted the emoticon and game community items.

Happend once with the whole skyrim mod thing. People who spend money on the paid mods when it happend on steam got their money back.

Doesn't really matter to me. That creator of Pepe really took his time to find that emote though, you could imagine how angry he was when he told his lawyers to write up a cease and desist to Valve. Hahaha

Maximum level pettiness from this guy, he's filing takedowns for anyone using the meme because he wants to "make the meme great again" and likely start selling his own merch based off of it.

Refunds from who? They didn't buy them from Valve. They bought them from other users.

Think Valve still gave them a refund from what I heard. Valve paid for it because of how it upsetted the community.

And because it was one of Valves money schemes while teaming up with bethesda. So it did not go good for both of them.
