Are you going to need 2tb's worth of space? If so, then yes it is worth it. If not, go with 1tb and save some money.

With new AAA games being 100 GB download yeah it's worth it, or better yet 4TB if money is not tight.
WD Gold is best quality currently.

If you're going to use it in genreal for a lot of things and not just for games, and if you want to install all of your games or play a lot of AAA games that are more than 50GB, then yes.

I have a 2TB drive and it's good. I don't download much, but having all that extra space is nice.

Mine is a Seagate Barracuda. Great drive and well-priced.

Yea it is. I got 5 2TB drives in my pc right now. I recomend the firecuda by seagate.

I have a 500gb ssd and a 1tb standard hard drive, and I'm out of space in both of them.

In a case like yours, it's probably better to get 2tb now and not have to worry about space concerns for a while.

With Western Digital - Black Edition it is...

Each physical plate is 1TB in those drives, which can be accessed simultaneously. Logically you would want a 2TB or more, when purchasing that model (if only 1TB, get a Blue Edition instead). The also automatically balance for better performance / error control, even if the PC case or drive itself has been tiled/bumped slightly.

Games. 90% of the space taken is by games. Not all Steam games either (271 installed).

It's more than enough for my needs, i get one of those seagate firecuda SSHD's in a drive bay for games, helps with loading times and more reliable than a full on mechanical disk.

I'd like a 50 TB hard drive. So I can download all the fanmade videos I please in high resolution. As well as all art in png format.

Youtube will die one day or ban those people. And then the content will be gone forever.

I have a Seagate 3TB, 60% full. Very good drive, Seagate newer model with the green stickers. My other drive is a WD Green (now half full) 1TB whch holds ongoing anime and my photoshop works.
