If you need more space, you'd want something with a greater capacity.
WD Gold is best quality currently.
Mine is a Seagate Barracuda. Great drive and well-priced.
In a case like yours, it's probably better to get 2tb now and not have to worry about space concerns for a while.
Each physical plate is 1TB in those drives, which can be accessed simultaneously. Logically you would want a 2TB or more, when purchasing that model (if only 1TB, get a Blue Edition instead). The also automatically balance for better performance / error control, even if the PC case or drive itself has been tiled/bumped slightly.
Games. 90% of the space taken is by games. Not all Steam games either (271 installed).
It's more than enough for my needs, i get one of those seagate firecuda SSHD's in a drive bay for games, helps with loading times and more reliable than a full on mechanical disk.
Youtube will die one day or ban those people. And then the content will be gone forever.
