People who say "lol" in real life.
What is your opinion on them?

I myself find it extremely cringe worthy.

I don't really pay much attention, just go with a laugh if a joke is funny.

They need to be taught

Very cringy

Saying lol is like faking a laugh.

I used to be friends with someone who said it quite often in conversation. Hilarious at the time.

I want to punch them.

I don't think I've ever met someone who did.

I know one person who uses it and I constantly feel like ripping his head off, or that might be because of his low IQ...

I don't even hear anyone say lol in real life and even then, my laugh is more fake even if genuinely laughing at something.

I used to have a friend who loved "Arby and the Chief" which is a halo comedy show on youtube, they created the "lolololololol" and he used to say it all the time.

Extremely punchable.

It's a real word. It's even in the dictionary now. So why not? Doesn't bother me. Of course I'm from a time when "hook-up" just meant "meet up and hang out with a friend or friends".

It bothers me because it's not a real word, it's an abbreviation.

Exactly.

So was FUBAR. But nowadays, it's a pretty acceptable word to use when things are messed up.
You're seriously standing up for abbreviating a laugh?

it doesn't really bother me. i hardly ever get to actually hear that phrase

I mean. Every now and then I'll do it but kind of ironically?
(Maybe if I do it enough it'll become legit tho) ):
I dont mind too much when other people do it though. I guess if the person is /already/ cringy, then of course it's gonna be annoying

I mean, barely anyone (Yes, I mean anyone) would go "lol" or "L O L" in real life, most would go giggle or chuckle. I mean sure, they might both sound a bit off, but I am not going to harp on someone for laughing in one way or another. As I said, my life isn't so believable and sounds pretty fake.
