-You don't seem to know how to have a cat. A cat will run away if you are evil.
A dog will run away because they are simply dumb. And a dog will stay because a dog is designed nowadays to follow order and not to betray their owner even if it includes selling their own self worth. Stockholm syndrome, basically.
-I should not have to clean my shoes off because some idiotic owner lets his dumb dog crap on the areas where you are supposed to WALK, instead of poo on.
A dog owner should be billed harshly if they let their dog poo on pavement and not picking it up.
- noone says a dog cannot poo on everything outside. Including a box.
-A cat is a bigger hunter than a dog, and if a cat doesn't hunt a mouse in a house, it is because it thinks you allow the mouse there. If outside, you should not let your animals come home with dead animals because that's just ... disturbing. Also a dog doesn't clean itself.
-I don't abuse dogs I've had. I am simply stating that a dog poo's wherever they want if you don't train it at very young age to only do it when you are on a walk, or outside on a backyard whereas
a cat can poo outside if LET outside, or inside in a box if it's not let outside when it wants to poo. Maybe cats think we are silly for pooing in a chair with a hole.
It also alerts you for dangerous creepers' presence like a centipede and even tries to wrestle the damn things away from you. My good overlord saved me more than once from a centipede bite at night.
They even fend off against snakes!
Dog fends off against human aggressors, but i can fit that role just perfectly, if need be, myself. Dogs cannot fend off against scary mother nature's little (and no so little) "demons", though! That's what Cats are for!
Also they're more of a friend to introverts like me while dogs are a friend to extroverts.
Best pet I ever had was a puppy given to me when I was young. The dog grew up with me and it was a sad day when it finally passed away over a decade later, just after I finished college.
I currently prefer cats now because they are low maintenance and adorable.
