Submarine simulator?

Apart from that, "Cold Waters" is the most recent submarine game on Steam.
But its not a pure submarine simulator, you can control other ships.

I guess the "Silent Hunter" series. Only 2 are on Steam though.

But that was old school when the other things suggested here as old school were brand new, so it might be hard to get into if you don't have the nostalgia/memories of playing it when it was cutting edge gaming.

It's a good sim for modern subs. Reminds me of 688 Attack Sub.
