Because it's a topic serves as a magnet for stupidity, ridicule, and controversy?

I'm still getting nightmares from all the degeneracy that I've seen.
Just like anime, bronies, Star Wars, Star Trek, comics, sports, racing, or really any fandom, the people usually are cringe worthy as hell to people that one might say are "normal" or outside of that fandom.
Like any fandom there are going to be stereotypes usually of a vocal minority within said fandoms that basically ruin it for everyone else.
Though, other than bronies taking the top spot, anime and furry fandoms are in the next two top spots under that for most cringe worthy.
Bestiality doesn't necessarily involve animals, it just means "acts so depraved that they're bestial rather than human in nature".
And then it depends on who's judging.
For a more detailled description of why, do some research. The fandom, besides being very sexually obsessed and mainly composed of immature teens who decided to never grow up, is also just weird to me. Why is animal + human such a common obsession? Why do people like animals so much? What is so special about them? The abnormality of this weird obsession is what repels most people from furries. I personally don't care about what others like/dont like but i can see where the arguments come from. Though there are probably some more mature/normal furry members out there, people like judging the majorities more than the anomalies.
that's the cause of many problems.
