Report a translation problem
The HL2 series as a whole is bad, in terms of story.
The gameplay is only supported by the fact that the game us running on the source engine.
Otherwise, HL2's only defining gameplay feature is the gimmicky phys-gun.
It's either used to block attacks, throw ♥♥♥♥ like barrels & grenades, and solve block puzzles.
I don't mind escort missions as long as the escort is capable of defending themselves.

The citadel has to be recontained, so first they contain the core and then escape on a train
That's pretty much it.
Overall it was not spectacular, but it certainly was AS good as the rest to me. trying to explain why OTHER people didn't care for it, no idea.
