Why is my personal info needed to download DaVinci Resolve?
I am gonna use it for editing. but I have to register, but it ask me to put in my name, my number, my city, and my state, huh? That's too much.

Free trial period? Because in that case it's to hinder people from getting an infinite free trial.

Incase anyone comes across this again, you can just put N/A in the boxes you need to fill out.

Same reason as always. So they can bombard your email inbox with marketing adverts, share your info with their third-party partners and affiliate companies, and make the shareholders and investors happy by saying, “We currently have X number of active registered users, a X percent increase from last year!”
