I just wish they would make guys sexier, I mean how many male protagonists don't even have a pants bulge, running around like some ripped Ken Doll.
Thats how it is at a population level. Those differences are statistical. But in a game you aren’t choosing a population, you’re choosing an individual. Individual characters are not restricted to being incarnations of averageness. [/quote]
1. I meant that they are trying to make people not like what they look like anymore... I dunno, again, im just saying it is sending mixed messages by doing this that confuses people...
2. You can claim im wrong, or that I dont understand why a woman would want this? & thats cause I dont understand...
How are they over-presented in Games?
They look pretty normal to me, its the Anime I find over doing it...
Speed, Agility, Strength, & such in Games? I dont really focus on that at all, I dont care for buffs, debuffs, & such... I just play the Games cause their fun, & dont care who im playing as, I play as everyone Equally, because their all great characters... Too many people are so focused on things like this stuff, that they've forgotten how to make Games enjoyable...
Games are not black & white, they are complex as a creation, but should appeal to everyone as a form of fun entertainment...
If you take away the fun, & enjoyment,
then why are we playing them at all?
Too much stress over such tiny details, have turned Gaming into a hate, instead of fun...
Oh, this looks wrong, this needs tweaking, oh that person needs reshaping, oh this light is the wrong color, oh buff this, de-buff that...
Its not our Game to be calling these things, this is not our job we are not a worker for these Games, we arent being paid to do this... We should only focus on things that really matter, bugs, glitches, & such...
When Gamers intervine with things like this, it makes Games unbalanced, because too many people want different things... Different changes made, they should really just leave them alone... It does more harm then good...
Uh, they are if they have the same strength, by definition. If you want to interpret “Strength 10/10” or whatever as meaning “in the highest percentile for that gender” rather than an objective standard, that’s your business I guess, but I don’t.
I was intentionally just using a different definition of toughness to you. That should be fine as you weren't using a standardised definition, as shown by the fact that you have supplemented it here with three separate measurements - bone density is not “toughness”, it’s bone density; etc. You’re using your own personal definition of toughness, which is fine, I’m just doing the same.
In material science, toughness is the amount of energy something can absorb before breaking, and I like it as a metaphor for people. Men are said to “snap” over trivial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ all the time, that’s not tough.
People always look like what they look like. (Edit: sorry, misread that, didn’t I.)
But still, no, not dressing women solely in bikinis and boobplate is not an attempt to get people to not like the way they look. It’s an acknowledgement that “the way they look” is much broader than “what gross dudes want to ogle”.
It’s no game’s job to appeal to everyone. All devs (and artists in general) know their work won’t appeal to everyone. That’s normal.
I didn’t see anyone proposing we take away fun and enjoyment.
We aren’t workers for that either. What you feel “really matters” is up to you of course, but please understand that that’s a personal opinion. You thinking bugs are more important than social issues is not some kind of correct stance. People criticising art is normal and healthy.

Honestly, if you don't want sexualized games there is nothing stopping you from playing them in favor of your non sexualized ones. It's not right to change every game for you.
Nobody and nothing from the real world should be represented in games, games serves the purpose of represent only fantastic ad wonderful things and only fantasy should be relevant and represented in games.
You obviously dont understand how fighting works...
Being the strongest person on the planet, means nothing if someone weaker then you can beat you in a fight in the simplest & quickest way possible...
Being the strongest person alive is only useful in a work environment or safety environment, but in Fighting, it actually is your biggest weakness...
Lucky, then that nobody can “change every game”. If people don’t agree with the way devs make their own games, there’s nothing stopping them from making their own alternatives.
So games shouldn’t feature people, animals, trees, planets, gravity, music, laughter, sadness, violence, non-violence?
They are entertainment but most styles of entertainment have been a commentary on society. The majority of games will ask questions and challenge the player, it has become common that it is now a rarity to find games that don’t explore various themes and topics. Is this now the criteria for a game to be above par or can games? Another question to ask.
Final Fantasy VII challenged players on the progress of technology and climate change.
Could you imagine a deep story about Super Mario Brothers? I can't relate to a plumber running around stomping everything to death. So the story is simple.
It's one of the first rules of writing. You have to hook your reader, or in this case player as soon as you can. so I'm a plumber and that runs around trying to save the kingdom and a princess. That's all the information I needed. Whereas if I were to discuss The Wolf among us, I would talk about the characters horrible past, his desire to do right by the people he hurt in the past, and that is exactly why he absolutely destroys that strip club owners bar because he is abusing one of his dancers. And I'm deeply invested now.
I don't play video games for sexy characters. Most people don't. They play because the game is fun and if story heavy engaging.
Plus points for balanced armour looks.
People should stop paying attention to him.
They do make their games the way they want to, the problem is people like you start harrasment campaigns in order to change them. AS I SAID : It's never enough to give you what you want, you just always move the goalpost and want every game made in YOUR image even though there are games specifically tailored for you already. You have to go for games that I like because you think you have a moral obligation.
You are not a good person, you are just part of the outrage mob that wants to feel like he did something good with the least amount of effort. You can't just be content with what you got and what I got, you have to attack, attack, attack.
Heck, there's a thread started by someone like you in freaking chex quest. CHEX QUEST!! a game about CERREAL
