Well, he made Grunge extremely popular for the time, had a unique guitar technique and was a great lyricist. So yeah, I think he was talented and revolutionized music.

He was the second most talented member of Nirvana but a lot of his status as an icon comes from his death and no-one can be sure how much of his talent was a quick flash or a long lasting thing.

i agree with what you said and i answered the question of did he have talent by saying not really. i dont think his music totally sucked i liked two good songs that he made.

He was not bad but he is very overrated as well. I prefer other musicians but I don't mind Nirvana. The fact that he is so overrated is sometimes annoying (as always everytime something like that happens) but his music was not bad anyway.
