Who was your first youtuber?
do you still watch them? have you stopped but try to get back to them?

Nintendocaprisun was one cool gamer and had all these wacky life stories and went to cons.
long before i found the now Dubbed Trashiplier and jackcepticeye. Nintendocaprisun, chuggaconroy and more came first, going to cons and having a ball.
back then it was watching him and a few more have fun with the game and had funny/good commentary. unlike all the junk that most youtubers do via jumping on the badwagon and playing and advertising games you may not look at or play. and funny how people change over time, caprisun still same fun guy but man, he looks alot different.

SkyDoesMinecraft, when I really shouldn't of been watching that kind of content

I wonder what he does now, if anything
I watched a video about that. He makes music these days.
Here's the video

Who uploaded the first YouTube video I watched? I have no idea.
Well, I'm not especially clear on where the distinction is between a YouTuber and somebody who just uploads a bunch of dumb couple-second-long videos, nor on where exactly you transition from having seen a couple of this guy's videos and being a regular viewer, but I guess to answer the best I can, Jake Lizzio (of Signals Music Studio) is probably the closest thing for me.

No idea.... don't remember....

No, they probably stopped making videos a long time ago.
Michelle Phan (Makeup artist and stylist YouTuber)
I knew her before she got famous, she was one of the pioneers of YouTubers in the fashion industry and did well in her career but abruptly stoped.
Don't remember, but I think it was either Nerd3, UberHaxorNova, or Pewdiepie.

You just brought back some memories with that one. I'm certain Chuggaaconroy wasn't my first youtuber, but he was one of them. Loved his Super Mario Sunshine playthrough.

One of the first 'tubers I ever started watching on a regular basis, and pretty much the only one from back then which I continue to watch today:

Failrace.

https://www.youtube.com/user/FailRace

Originally got into him because I liked racing games, but kept coming back because I love his crazy challenge ideas and his dry sense of humour. Also he is relatively clean with his commentary, and doesn't resort to crude jokes or swearing every other word like so many other famous content creators do. And his long-running 'Failrace' series, highlighting funny glitches and bugs in racing games sent in by viewers, always makes me chuckle.
The oldest I remember is Renetto. I think he's deleted a lot of his videos but the oldest one is from July 31 2006.

Trying to think of the earliest gaming related YouTuber I can remember, probably Oxhorns early WoW machinima videos.

And no don't watch either now.. I think Renetto is crazy now and Oxhorn doesn't make videos anymore I don't think, I look them up now and then for nostalgia but that's about it.

Earliest YouTubers I can think of was Smosh, 1989gamemaster, AVGN and AGK/YTP.

Looks like 1989gamemaster died twice since his last video was posted over 8 years ago https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nh9ISXQBJFk

I used to watch that channel too. I'm still subscribed to that channel. Of course nothing hasn't been uploaded for a very long time.
