We are currently a .73 civilization, at least according to Wikipedia, as of 2018. We have a ways to go to reach 1.
Do you follow Isaac Arthur on youtube? Interesting channel discussing such things, and other future concepts. For bonus points, he sounds like Elmer Fudd (speech impediment, he really always sounds like that). I remember he mentioned in one of his videos that a type 2 civilization would be able to use the entire power of a star to shoot a laser across the galaxy to destroy a planet orbiting another star with a fraction of one days power. Hot, spicy, and we've had enough of your ♥♥♥♥ before you even made it off of your planet kind of power. Perhaps Star Wars had it wrong, and the Death Star should have been a Dyson Sphere.
Theoretically you could get a shock if you became the conductor and the magnet was really powerful. But no that other comic book stuff doesn't work.
You honestly believe the sun is our "gravity source"?
You honestly believe the sun is our "gravity source"? [/quote]
That is not what I said.
There were no electromagnets in my example, I guess you don't know what those are. And the iron in a human body isn't the same as the one we mine out of the ground.
Causing their rotations to collapse in addition to assuming new circular orbits. but if you're being exposed to something that creates that level of magnetic field you're probably already goo before the molecular structure of your body is ripped apart as well as every other form of matter in the area.
Any material can be affected by magnetic fields of a certain strength. By being ripped apart. Again since it's affecting the electrons.
Dear Lord I don't want to even start talking about gravity.
Why do you take authoritative positions on things you know absolutely zero about? It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious.
Firstly, an electromagnet is an object that becomes a magnet when given an electric current. Say a coil of copper wire with a battery hooked up to it.
Secondly, literally ALL electricity generators depend on magnets to generate their electricity.
That stuff is literally my field, get out of here boy.
You're wrong about everything all the time. It's time to get off the keyboard and hit the books, David.
Magnets rotate inside a copper coil. Which generates magnetic fields which generate power.
Which I have incredibly simplified.
Every power station uses pretty much the same tech. I was thinking specifically about wind turbines which is why they are clean energy. But I don't know a lot about other power plants aside from the most basic of basic.
Although I did have a kit to build a power generator as a kid.
age-restricted youtube vid . . . can't watch because need to login
Strong, rapidly alternating magnetic fields on the other hand... I've got a feeling they could mess you up big time. The pulsing would stimulate your entire nervous system and heat up internal and external tissues. I feel like I've seen a b-movie which played on this idea.
