Gonna get a lot of hate but, Why does everyone hate Fortnite

I see a lot of people hate the game just for the sake of hating it. I know it is not everyone's cup of tea but I see people who haven't touched the genre who say it is the "worst game of all time" or the "cringe is too strong". I like the game in my opinion but yours can differ and I respect that.

Personally, I hate it because they overcomplicated it. It was a decent game during season 1 and 2, but season 3 started to complicate things and add things that it really didn't need. Turbo building, for instance, was the biggest thing that ruined the experience, as it closed the skill gap and turned the game away from combat and into hiding or getting high ground.

1. They don't like BR games.
2. They don't like playing games that are popular (may feel like they're not unique unless they play a niche game).
3. The dances have had a decent effect across the world and people are just fed up of seeing all these Fortnite dances and due to them stemming from Fortnite (though the dances are inspired by other things - but Fortnite made them 'popular'), they just hate on Fortnite.
4. Maybe the building aspect. The fact that you see someone in an open area, hit them with a sniper and they then build a house in 7 seconds flat can annoy people I suppose.
5. They're just sick and tired of hearing the word 'Fortnite' and anything to do with it due to it's popularity.

Many more reasons, I'm sure.

I don't hate it, I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about it. I think it is because it is a very popular game with kids and on websites like Twitch.

It's very luck-based. Finding the best weapon in the first chest you walk past basically guarantees you a spot in the top 10 if you know how to point and click.

Its been way too over-saturated, People just get sick of seeing fortnite everywhere.
Kind of like minecraft, still a good game, but you get sick of seeing it quickly.

not everyone i'm pretty sure there's many who aren't even aware of its existence as for myself it's too trendy and i dislike the toxicity of multiplayer games

Honestly I loved the original fortnite map :( I'd rather just play it, but honestly fortnite is my least favorite BR game I mean at least in H1Z1 I get cosmetics for winning. I also feel that combat is less fun than other BR but thats just my opinion.

Yeah, I really liked the simplicity the original map had going for it. For a brief time it seemed like the best BR on the market, now even some of the knockoffs like Creative Destruction are actually better games.
Battle Royale as a genre is just full of games that have a ton of promise rising to the top just to come tumbling down. It happened to H1Z1, it happened to PUBG, and it will happen to Fortnite.

I never played it, so I neither like nor dislike it.

I just don't like the battle royale genre and how it's infecting so many franchises like the plague.

I don't actually PLAY Fortnite...

BUT I FREAKING LOVE IT!!!

So many glorious "cringe compilations" on youtube of stupid kids doing Fortnite moves and stuff and usually getting hurt or making people roll their eyes.

And the game itself is a cointainment device to keep many squeakers out of other games.

Every since Fortnite got popular there are less squeakers in other games.
