Unless something changed they are usually more expensive, while at the same time also using a tax haven. I remember said haven in the past making it harder for me to get games from them.
But they do still have flash sales last time I checked.
GOG sells DRM-free games, so you can mod to your heart's content. Game doesn't support your resolution? Mod it in!
Is there any list that I can compare all the games that are available on both Steam and GoG?
New games exclusive to GoG? Nothing unless GoG themselves develop the game.
Sales of the same games have a bias towards Steam. Pretty sure Hat in Time's free DLC was released and Steam had a sale on the game itself but GoG didn't.
Comparing games side by side you'll find that each distro's version of the game can contain bugs and glitches that the other version won't have. This is due to the fact that GoG gets some of their games waaaay after Steam does. Fallout 3/NV are relatively new additions to their catalogue. Both versions are the same game generally speaking but GoG's doesn't have DRM sooo...one of these products is objectively better than the other and it's clear which one that is.
See this guy here? Don't listen to him.
He is allowed his opinion, just as you are. If that is all he feels GOG is worth, then there is nothing anyone can really say about that.
Otherwise people could simply state the same of your opinion as well and negate everything you stated.
So like I said. It's pretty much as if you're to purchase a phyiscal copy of a game, back when no DRM were involved. It's a really good deal!
Imo Steam has the best library of games (that's why I prefer it) and GoG has the best system, the most consumer friendly possible.
Everyone says their stuff is DRM free and has a lot of bugs worked out, although I've never actually had an issue with that on Steam. So I would stick to Steam unless the price is lower. GOG almost never has better deals in my experience.
I already picked five games that are rare, so I guess it'll work out just fine (which none of them are available on Steam unfortunately).
Cool! I already picked five games, and I might just purchase them. But nothing beats Steam.
Last thing I bought was Rayman 2: The Great Escape, because it was something I played and enjoyed on my Dreamcast.
