Depends on the usage. Pumping it by using momentum and gravity. Pump action. Twirling the gun to get a new bullet in the chamber? Lever action. My preference is pump though. Since it has so much more power in it.

Spin-action shotguns, obviously. The pump can be cool, but the lever-actions can flip around with a sawn-off stock and large lever loop.

Lever action is always cooler, but pump action is more practical, with semi-auto being the most practical.

OBVIOUSLY the automatic shotty..... Like duh...

Between the two, pumps because you get cheesy one liners just before/after the classic click click.
Idk if lever actions make that click sound but they are pretty cool if you twirl them to load a new shell...

Lever actions are cool, but for games, you can’t beat a classic pump shotty. That or a double barrel.
