The last hope i still got is Ashes of Creation. Otherwise i'll stick to World of Warcraft.
AoC is basically a sandbox packed with alot of stuff made for the community. It involves the community and forces people to interact with each other, basically Vanilla/bc experience.
Legion/BfA are basically meant to be played solo, unless you go for RBG/M+(not as much)/Raid.
Though i am still hyped for BfA (played the beta), i know it won't suck me in for a longer while, not compared to Vanilla/BC/WotLK.
Not until something like Sword Art Online comes around.
As for my dream mmo, i'd love an mmo that has pvp in the open world with some decent combat mechanics. As in, you can just attack anyone and get attacked at any time, that would be really fun, something similar to GTA Online but better and with standard mmo elements like lvling up, classes etc.
Housing
Community driven Financial structure like the steam market with prices.
Fishing, farming (jobs)
Clans / guilds
Not locked classes
Story driven quests like the witcher 3 and fully voice acted.
Open world and genuinely enjoyable and explorable world.
Basically im asking for something that will never exist lmao.
closest I played was secret world but I never liked the combat in that game.

Anyone else miss City of Heroes?
how is champions online?
I tried it once I remember but the whole archetype thing put me off, I remember a custom archetype option and I think everyone just built their hero with the most powerful types rather than being unique and making a hero in the style they want. Nobody was unique and instead wanted to be godlike in pvp, kinda ruined the feel to me.
could be wrong I don't remember much only tested it for a few days years ago.
While i do agree with more realistic armor, fancy looking armor, just as cloth and leather wouldn't be that bad aswell. It is some MMO after all, not reallife.
Class awakening in BDO was donkeyballs. I do agree with the customisation, i remember getting into the first beta and spent one hour to create it. I was really hyped about that game, but it is a asian p2a game unfortunately with SUPER potential.
