Why do developers make secret achievements
when you can just search them up?

Sometimes they're test achievements. Others expect players to be decent and not a smart---.

One might ask why do scriptwriters include plot twists, or why secret endings and easter eggs are provided too.

Some people choose to play and explore the potentials, some people purposefully avoid 'searching up' solutions and secrets in order to maintain the suprise.

It''s all rather subjective and part of the personal experience of how one chooses to play games. That developers consider catering to those types of player not only identifies an acknowledgement of such, but suggests there is a significant demand to warrant it.

secret achievements were meant to make players explore the game more, but when players just google secret achievements, the view on the game changes... so it's not the same experince anymore and imo the joy is ruined
Well if the achivement involves a plot-twist you don't want to spoil the game just by looking at the achivement page.

Why not?

They are not really meant to be secret achievements, just hidden so it is harder to accidentally find out key plot developments or secrets that you are meant to find out in the game, not by browsing the games achievement list.

They're probably more used to the days when people used google less.

Maybe some of them are mild spoilers?

I don't know...

You mean the Nintendo one where their handbook was literally a collection of pages torn out of Nintendo Power magazine?
