Are phone games dumb?
i havint played a phone game in years cause they all use the same pay to play and win formula.
there was a monster vr game, you hunt monsters sorta like pokemon go and you could be items with real money but that game was pulled off the istore, and another rpg . brave frontier lets you buy gems and crap but due to difficulty spikes and grinding with pay to win i gave up. console and pc games do this too but offer more but still even i have to hold back cause its not worth the trouble

The new Harry Potter mobile game would make your experience even worst.
Each to their own. I don't judge people for what they play but me personally I don't play. There are a handful of good mobile games like Grand Theft Auto which was fun and I could play that on the road.

But yes.... a good amount of games have an option for you to buy coins/perks and whatnots on it.
The only mobile game I play regularly is Temple Run. Nothing else I’ve tried could hold my attention.

Not most mobile games are bad. I even have an app called "Wordscapes" and it's cool for improving cognitive skill about thinking scrabble letters for words.
Free to Play games are very stupid. " To win this level please enter $ to countine"
Yes pretty much all of them. They are made for kids between 3 yrs to 8 yrs.
Fire Emblem Heroes is alright, but nearly everything else is lame

The only good ones are those above 4,6 rating...
But every pc game will beat those.
*cough* Consoles *cough*
It's a toss-up really

There are some diamonds in the rough tho that you can find occasionally

Soul Knight, GF, etc
South park phone destroyer is awesome! Only mobile game that i really enjoy.
A lot of phone games are dumb, but their only real purpose is to entertain me for free when I am on the toilet or waiting in a waitingroom.
There's a few gems out there.

I'd rather have an once off purchase however, rather than watch ads 24/7 (which would end up costing more in data plan anyways).

Suggest (depending on your smartphone):

BadLand
South Park - Phone Destroyer
Hungry Shark
Bully
Lara Croft Go
Fruit Ninja

Well I paid for Dues Ex the Fall and some 3rd person ARPGs. They look and feel like games from the PS1/PS2 console era, but with crappy touch controls. Everything feels dated even the better looking games like the Fall.
There are some great ones like Plague. There are some Free to Play that balance out the gems and ads perfectly. And paid ones also provide no ads and usually more quality content. However, a console/PC game can easily be more fun than a phone game.

That being said, if you have an Android, I recommend you to get Steel and Flesh. It is basically like Mount and Blade but on the phone. The company Virtual Studio also has other quality games as well. Oh, and if you want to get as little ads as possible, try not to die much. Essentially, the better you do at the game, the less ads you'll get. And you can't buy gold in there so it's not pay 2 win. But it can be laggy due to hundreds of people fighting at the same time and it is a BIG download for a phone game.
