Buying it from Rockstar social club annoys me though because its another launcher I have to start using and my account would need to be separated from the one I use for GTA V on steam otherwise if I do get the game on Steam theyll get mixed up

I dont think they can get mixed up, the launcher has a list of your games on it. Youll be using rockstar launcher if you want to play this game at all on pc.

The game isn't all that impressive, wait a month. You waited a year already so one more month won't make any difference. The main argument could be for online play and there are going to be vastly more players on steam for that anyway.

It doesnt work that way, on steam or rockstar only it will be the same servers.

You get more for your money with ordering through Rockstar social club. they upgrade the standard edition 2 deluxe give you a couple other pre-order bonuses, you can preload the game and you get a free older Rockstar game.

I originally downloaded it through epic store and then felt ripped because I thought some pre-order stuff came with it but I wasn't reading the right stuff and you can't preload so I asked for a return and they gave it to me no questions asked and bought it through rockstar instead

Yep I went with the special edition and am happy with the content being offered. I originally was going to wait for the Steam release but I couldn't pass up this great deal

You won't regret it, great deal with all the pre-order bonuses and 50 gold bars which is more than £15 worth of gold bars.

Why not get it directly from the Rockstar store if you don't want to wait for it on Steam? There are more then the two options.

You will need two launchers unless you buy directly from Rockstar. Steam and Epic versions will still require the Rockstar launcher.
