But also a desire not to fill yourself with regret. A want to, break the cage around yourself.

But to what end? Madness? A busted moral compass?

Purpose. A reason to exist, to matter in the greater scheme of a zero-sum universe. You know that what you were taught to believe as "you" is not, in fact, you at all but rather the tulpa of your "self". It is what causes you to suffer in your endeavors, to try and prevent you from becoming greater than the sum of your parts.

Black, White, Sashie, they're nothing but puny gods by comparison to your self. And I say that with full respect to your internal demons, as I am similarly fond of my own.

The more that I have learned, the more I have learned how little I actually know. Staying hungry for purpose is what keeps me going, it helps keep my "self" in check because the "self" needs me more than I ever needed it. The emotions I feel when pursuing my purpose, regardless of the goal or task, are real and legitimate. And those emotions are power which can, and should inevitably, be used to fuel the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.

And there are some which you cannot break, least you say join military service such as killing.

Which I would enjoy way, way too much if given the opportunity to participate.

Its so dark and bloody. Its about a world thats near its end. And wolves can turn into people and talk. And theres only a few wolves left and they are being hunted by the humans.
