Jobs that pay well with no degree?
I want a well paying job but I don't want to go through years of study. I don't mean something to make me rich or whatever (I don't plan on getting married) I just want something to help me afford some kind of house (At the very least 23,000 dollars a year)

Truck Driver! Its what I do. Average pay is 40-50k a year but it varies greatly. For example, guys who haul for the military make somewhere around 100k a year and they are civilians. Guys who work out in the oil fields hauling oil in Nevada/Arizona/New Mexico make around 100k to 150k as well. Guys who own their own trucks average like 100k to 200k a year (but they also have to pay for expenses on their own trucks, which is very expensive). Hell, Walmart truck drivers make 80k a year on average.

Its an awesome job if you like being alone and working independently. But its also a lifestyle and you have to be ready to adapt. It has a very high turnover rate because of family commitments and stuff like that, but there are also local driver opportunities that allow you to be home daily like any other job. They just arent that easy to find. Like, Im pretty sure Walmart drivers are home daily, because I never see any sleeper berths on their trucks.

Learn a trade. Plumber, electrician, HVAC Tech, roofing, construction, and so on...

ALL of these things pay much more than the average useless "arts" and "studies" degrees out there, and you don't have to go into massive student loan debt to get them as most have paid on the job training, and ALL of them can become independent businesses, meaning YOU can eventually run your own business instead of a degree wich often means you are woking for someone else..

not as easy as that it takes years to get the experience to run your own buisness a degree is the smart option working for someone else can pay more

It takes YEARS to get a degree ontop of years to get experience... You literally just pointed out that it takes longer than a trade, most trades need less than 2 years training, hell, HVAC only needs a few months. *laughs*

people who work at mcdonalds do do hard work it can be a very stressfuljob ive never worked their but ive seen what its like when they are busy they are always on their toes

I don't think you understand the difference between unskilled labor and skilled labor.

ANYONE can work at a fast food place because it is "unskilled", sure they can work hard, but ANYONE can do it so they are not going to get paid a lot because they are so easily replaceable with someone else that will do it cheaper... but not everyone can fix a car or diagnose a complex machinery problem, so they get paid more for having in-demand "skills".

Seemed high to me too. That's why my dad regrets getting a dump truck, he only makes about 5.5k a week with that. The times he has to drive a semi truck for a couple days is when he gets the $8500. Thats $17000 in 4 days. And its not even in his truck, hss not payong fuel or anything, the company he's contracted to just needed an extra driver.

i highly doubt he gets paid 5.5k a week thats over 250k a year lol no way a truck driver gets paid that show me a soruce

Again you show how little you know.

Independent truckers can make a ton of money, especially if they own their own rig (you can buy a nice used peterbuilt or mack for under $40,000usd).

When places need to ship millions of dollars of merchandise and don't have their own trucks, or need to ship odd loads, they usually put them up for a bid though contracts or websites like uship, and independent truckers can bid on those loads, usually for a precentage of what the load is worth and when and where it needs to go. I have 2 family members that do this, one with a big rig and the other with an HD pickup with a large trailer, it actually isn't unusual for them to make $10-20 grand in less than a month.

Hell, you want a source, it is easily searchable on a thing called the google, or you could just watch a few episodes of "shipping wars", since that should be about your speed.

But OP, if you want a sort of easy, respectable job that pays good, look into truck driving. If you want to stay home more often, get a dump truck. Once you save up your money, avoid buying a single axle or tri axle. Tandem are the best bang for your buck, quads are the most versatile and make more than tandems, and quilts make the most, but they can't do every job that a quad can. Most drivers will tell you to get a quad.
Oh yeah truck driving!

Just be careful, as automated vehicles get more and more popular, trucking will be one of the main things they replace, likely in the next 10-20 years.

Maybe "robot repair technician" would be better for futureproofing... Unless they can get robots to fix other robots. @_@

True, but they'd have to provide jobs for all the truckers, it's a huge business. They should provide all of you with another good job if it comes to that.

I wouldn't be so sure. I mean, it takes more than just driving a truck to be a truck driver. You also need some knowledge regarding logistics, navigation (more than just a GPS), mechanical knowledge and even a few customer service skills. Tractor trailers are also much more complicated than most people would believe. We are professionals, so we just make it look easy lol. I mean, you have something like 3 seperate braking systems alone (service brakes, spring brakes, emergency brakes) and you have to account for an additional 53 feet of trailer behind you, etc.

I can't see truck drivers being replaced. We may have something like an autopilot, similar to what planes have, but for trucks. I mean you wouldn't trust a plane's autopilot to fly the plane the entire time. Autopilot isn't going to replace pilots. I can't imagine truck drivers being replaced by automated trucks. Too many risks involved that computers can't account for.

Furry art? Drawing hentai and porn is the thing that will net you the most money. Become a well known fetish artist and roll in the dough... it has to be extremely niche though...

Question is, who tf pays for those artworks?

If I draw Kanna from kobayashi hentai version, would the customer be satisfying or not? And what he could do for those "artworks"?

I know whentai pays 100 bucks each to put on gallery, but how about other customers?
