Nice or only selectively nice?
Would you rather try to be nice to everyone. Or only be nice to friends/family/co-workers.

Or alternatively would you rather be a jerk to everyone except your partner?

Or nice to no one?

I'm nice to everyone unless they are being an a**hole.

Selectively I guess. Most people are decent enough so there's no reason to be rude to them.

And if somebody is a scumbag/bad family, then it's perfectly fine to be rude to them.

I couldn't care to be nice, not because i want to act bad but because i honestly don't feel anything on any given day. Being nice and being rude are two entirely different matters though.
Nice except when I want someone to leave me alone.

I try to be nice to most. But maybe I'm just mean and I don't know it.

It wouldn't really surprise me. I always get things wrong.

I'm going to be nice to anyone on any occasion. Unless we are in an argument at that moment. Then I'm going to be pretty passive aggressive. And beyond I don't know. It depends on a lot of things.

First one because I can still be nice to my lover. And if you are nice to your lover she is nice back to you in special ways.

Only to friends.

Strangers need to earn my respect.

I follow the golden rule with people, both online and in-person. If I had to choose being nice overall or selectively nice though? I would be the latter.

And it's the same for jerks. If you're mean to everyone (and those people will eventually be mean to their partner as well), you have bigger issues and try to deflect them. It's the same way nice-to-everybody people are more interested in appearing nice to others than actually having morals.
The first one is not really true. You can be nice and understanding. If someone is mean to your friends just walk away. I am nice to almost everyone and I am considered a nice person by a lot of people.

Only selectively nice. I learned the hard way that being nice to everyone doesn't work. So I'm only nice to those who deserve my respect.

I'm not finding your reply very nice. Do you see how putting that out into the world is not creating niceness?

If people were honest, like Angel was in their post, the world would be so much nicer.

If someone is mean to my friends I usually trust that my friends are capable of handling themselves.
