Can the keys of a corsair k55 be removed?

i have the corsair k55 and i have been on a load of different forums to find out if they can be removed or not so i thought i would try here. if anyone knows it would be a huge help.

No. They use membrane keys, not mechanical keys. Those were not intended to be removed.

Pretty sure you can get some special sprays from ones without removable keycaps.

yea i will probably use one of those cans of pressuerised air to blast it away. its not that dirty TBH its just allot of dust that i cant get out.

The K55 is a rubber membrane with plastic sliders style "switch" that mimics the feel of a mechanical switch by offering resistance (in other words they are less mushy than traditional membrane boards) and the key caps can most definatly be removed.

great thanks. im looking at getting a new keyboard and i will probably be getting the k70 but i was just wondering which one i should get. do you have any suggestions?

I have the K70 with brown switches, and personally I don't like it, I only use it when I need the numeric key pad as my other boards are tenkeyless.

I also have a Redragon K552 RGB with blues and a Max Blackbird with brown switches and I love them both.

I have the K70 with brown switches, and personally I don't like it, I only use it when I need the numeric key pad as my other boards are tenkeyless.

great thanks. that helps alot. though i know a few people who have the k70 with blue switches and they say they think its the best one but i guess i will have to look more in depth into it.

I have the K70 LUX with Brown and love it. Less clicky then the blue and still get some feedback when pushing buttons. It is a nice balance between the blue and red, imho.

In the end, it is preference more then anything. Go to a store and give them a try if you can or ask someone you know if you can try theirs.

with my k55 i can easily remove the keycaps and put them back in place but i dont think its good for my keyboard

Yes! i have the same keyboard and I removed mine numerous of times
