Is it true that gamestop shops are empty as hell?

Nope. They are still full of games, though mostly used, as well as "Geek" toys, figures, gadgets, ect.

Plenty of people there too.

Less then 10 PC gamess (if that) though they have game cards for Steam and other places too.

nah, mines full of games, but also full of lot of game junk like shirts, gamer socks, toys, ect.

^This. Can confirm. I used to work at GameStop in 2011 and they sold a lot more PC games back then, and much less geek merchandise.
