How to be safe from scams on ebay?
Greetings people.
Just wanted to know what's the first thing I should look out for on ebay when I wanna buy something?
I saw a guy selling physical gwent cards, and he sold many of them already, but I have my doubts as usual. I've been a fan of gwent since witcher 3 came out and I really want the physical versions, and I've finnaly found a good one.
If I pay over paypal, what's the chance of me getting my money back if I get ♥♥♥♥ed over? How do I even prove that I've been bamboozled?

eBay tends to favor the buyer over the seller, it's a flaw in the system, they should be worried more than you. For instance, there are (unless it's changed) payments that allow them to instantly (the buyer) their money back and get their money AND the product(s). I wouldn't worry about buying as you can always just dispute it, especially if it's something small as a GWENT deck.

ebay usually sides with the buyer. Look at his account age and all his feedback. If its a new level 0 account stay away. Feedback of 50 or more probably ok
He's got 514, so I guess it's fine.

the decks are 115$, which is, atleast for me, a quite big amount of money, which is why I want to ask around before I impulse buy it. I guess I'm good to go.

Geez, I figured it'd be cheap (like $20 or $30 max). But you should be fine, as said, make sure they have a good reputation and their page looks legitimate. But I wouldn't worry too much, like I said, you can always dispute it with eBay and get a refund if the cards or anything isn't in the condition you want. Also make sure it has a return policy if you can, I don't know about eBay's "user" return policy.

Another thing to note is that you should never accept money from a buyer that's trying to refund your money, through PayPal, you should just let eBay issue a refund.

People are scammed on eBay daily, if you can't find the same deck anywhere, you should at least make sure everything is good.

Sadly not, since there's no official gwent cards maker, and this guy makes it all on his own, with supposedly quality material and everything, and with 400 cards, so I guess the price is quite alright.
Thanks for the tips.

Not that I would ever dare try ebay, but if I would, I'd record unpacking the whole thing
as proof that something is wrong, and hopefully ebay support will send the scammer to hell.
The same goes for amazon.
