So pokemon crystal came out 3 days ago. Did you get it?

I've never played it, but people like to praise it non-stop. I've already got gold version...So it'll have to be a pass for me. Even when its only ten dollars.

Still, Why do you think its so widely praised? To me pokemon emerald blows almost any other game out the water with all its endgame content and breath of fresh air pokemon.

For moving game sprites, gen 5 has to be the best.

It's a rerelease of an old Pokemon game. Specifically from Generation 2.

They released it on eshop for 3ds. So its a pokemon crystal that pokemon you catch in it can be traded via pokebank to modern games like pokemon ultra sun/moon.

I heard rumors that crystal eshop version will allow players to catch celebii. But I didn't look too much into it.

not directly, Gen 3, gen 4, gen 5.1 Still need to be traded up to Black/white 2. So you can pokebank them.

Crystal was the best. It was an expansion and an overall improvement, over the basic 2 games of gen 2. It was the only game in which you could get, an Extremespeed Dratini! And there were move tutors for the 3 main elemental moves (Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt). It also had an event egg giveaway, with high chance for any baby to be shiny!

Oh rite, I forgot about the extreme speed dragonite. I remember how bummed out I was when I realized it wasn't in my gold version. Like it was in the remake.

Pokémon Crystal Version was my first (and favorite) Pokémon so it was only natural that I pre-purchased it as soon as it was available for pre-loading on the Nintendo eShop, and was severely annoyed when I found out that, while Nintendo's Online Support says pre-loaded games become available at midnight Eastern Time on the release date, I had to wait until 9 AM Pacific Time.

I didn't get it, but I got the original Pokemon Gold for the Gameboy Color, and I have to say, compared to all the other generations, Gen 2 is the BEST.

Re-bought Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Red for my 3DS, brings back memories. Kind of wish they'd kept the color option for Red, though.
