COX internet has plans in place to throttle gaming unless you pay 15 bucks a month

Oh okay, so actually reading it, it suggests it will be even better performance (not throttling existing).

So it's what is already available and been done. Called a Gaming VPN, in which your PC connects to a nearby server, which has ultra fast connections to other servers around the world. The concept being your lag/ping is greatly dropped if playing online games with your mates on the other side of the world.

There's nothing new in that... except it was already available via third parties.

I don't have them as my ISP, but I do hope that Congress reverts the FCC Net Neutrality Rules to re-outlaw this.

So are you paying an extra $15 for an even faster connection with low ping/latency? Because if not, then who in their right state of mind would bother follow that illogical plan that wouldn't solve anything?

About as logical as building a wall. People assume it's a joke and laugh, then figure out it's actually serious... so laugh some more.

Entertainment these days.

If ISPs start doing this even further, I might actually look into moving to Canada.
