Someone at Mozilla just forgot the renew a SSL certificate.

If you are running Firefox Nightly, Developer or ESR you can disable signature enforcement as a work around until Mozilla fixes this issue. On Linux and OSX in "normal" Firefox signature enforcement can also be disabled.

Go to about:config and then disable xpinstall.signatures.required.

If you are running Developer or Nightly and have "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" enabled the issue should fix itself soon.

It's not FF-Update related, it just seems to randomly happen, or may happen if you have FF open for some hours in a row, who knows.

For desktop regular versions ( no clue about mobile/tablet types) you can force load any that you just can't live without (like ad/scriptblockers), although I think you have to re-do it every time you close/restart the browser. It's easy/quick to do tho:

FF -> Tools -> Add-Ons
Right-mouse on the Gear icon to get the menu. Select "Debug Add-Ons"

Click on "Load Temporary Add-On..."

Browse to your profile's extensions folder:
e.g. C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ <Profile-ID>.default\extensions
or %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*.default\extensions

You can temporarily load the extensions one-by-one in "debug mode" (you don't have to launch the debugger).
That's as good as it gets until Mozilla deploys the replacement intermediate CA for their extension signing cert or finds some other fix.

Thanks.
I'm surprised they haven't rolled out a fix already.

That support thread mentions a fix is available if we turn on "Allow Firefox to insall and run studies" (options>Privacy&Sec.) then restart Firefox.
It seems to be working.

Not only have my add-ons been disabled, but I'm being yelled at by a complete stranger. What did I do wrong aside from getting out of bed this morning?
