I don’t like horror movies but The Thing is brilliant.
Scary zombie apocalypse?

I can not stomach dumplings.
Killer popcorn, badass candy floss? I hate clowns!
If I remember rightly, The lady is the main ingredient? I am sure it is a delicacy over there >.<

Alien is my favorite franchise but I don't really consider it horror. Some do, and the first movie would be the closest one to that genre. If it counts then absolutely this.
Halloween - Revolutionary not just for horror, but film-making in general.
Night of the Living Dead - Same reasons as above.
Event Horizon - Probably not a 10 but definitely some good scenes.
Terrifier - 10/10 for dumb entertainment and gore, but it's not an amazing film.
The Suspiria remake was fairly disturbing, solid 8.5/10 movie.

Whats the problem? They are just horrific movies.
Lot of those movies are not really horror movies but gore-porn instead, takes certain breed of people to enjoy them.
