Never knew they made a me me out of that. I thought i just made it up when i heard they was making a 5.
My issue with this now is just watching this trailer made me zero excited and secondly, I still have no idea what the movie is about after 2 minutes lol
I think the first movie was excellent, tied in with the novel.
The second and third movies were average action schlick too but somehow I was quite emotional over them.
The 2008 version was absolutely fantastic, I was only yesterday singing the song "Wishing Well" by Jake la Botz. I remember how aged Syl looked in 2008, let alone 2019.
Damn, gonna be one of his last full movies I think.
Must say I do fondly remember The Expendables and that was a plain old action film too.
I intend to watch this sometime, just not all that excited for the cinema release.
I think they should have left it where he walked down his rural Arizona driveway and was finally home... fin.
I don't know if this film is going to be good or bad, but so far the track record for him going back to older roles has been top-notch.
I mean Balboa was amazing. John Rambo was pretty good. Although he did look like crap in that movie. The two Creed movies have been freaking stellar.
I'll go see this on opening day if I can. You're probably right that this is going to be one of his last full films. I'm not going to miss the opportunity to say that I was there opening day for what could be his last picture.
Van Damme is an icon too, with his films, even the corny ones.
I almost never go to the cinema, the last time I was going was Mad Max Fury Road and I saw that twice. Edit: actually I believe the most recent thing I saw was Star Wars Rogue One and that was excellent. Not keen on the rest of them though.
I will always appreciate a good old Sylvester Stallone film. I just think there is a mix of decent writing and nostalgia amongst movies like Rocky and Rambo First Blood that make them standout more to people who saw them.
I am sure there is a current generation of people about to be introduced to Rambo, which is great... but please I hope they do not make another awful game...
I don't normally recommend people watch game reviews, but angry Joe's review of the Rambo game was amazing.
That and these "Ow My Hip!" old action stars need one last hurrah for their retirement fund because they all blew so much money on steroids/drugs and bad habits in the 80s and 90s.
