Games for chilled out driving
I just love driving at night, listening to my music, perfoming repetetive tasks, relaxint with no one around. Now I can hardly go spend the night driving around the neighborhood in my car... that'd be sorta expensive and probably also suspicious.

I'm looking for games to do this in, just relaxed driving. I did it in BeamNG drive and it was nice, but cars in that game have a tendency to randomly try to murder you. I have a G29 with shifter. GTA V and Watch Dogs are also things I've tried however they tend to spiral out of control, lots of dumb NPCs everywhere getting in the way and all the sudden you're in a vicious firefight.

So I'm not looking to a race or a rally, just wanna drive chill with no time limit and no real urgency. What's the best game to do this in? I don't mind traffic laws as long as the NPCs don't.

I guess the nearest I can think of is some of the various Truck Driver simulator type games might fit.

The Truck Simulator games are really nice for this. You can either import a music library into the game itself, or just turn the in-game music down all the way and just play it in the background. There are time limits, but they aren't really too hard to make in time. I almost always complete my drives with several in-game hours to spare.

The Crew is pretty good for relaxed driving.

The Crew or The Crew 2?
I have the crew 2, haven't played in a while. I had severe input lag issues with my steering wheel, almost a second. You're right, I'll redownload it. Let's see if maybe that's fixed itself.

I don't own it personally, but I hear that this is why a lot of people play Euro Truck Simulator 2.

I meant the first game. The sequel is nowhere near as good.

I grabbed that when it was free on Steam not too long ago. I switched nearly immediately after starting it since I'm a graphics ♥♥♥♥♥. I can't remember anything about it. I'll install it too, try it out, thanks for the hint.

Ah damn. Yeah I've always wanted a Forza Horizon but I don't own a console and I haven't yet upgraded to windows 10. It'd be a lot of checking compatibilites, securing important data, updating stuff... So much work just for one game I wanna play...

Project Cars 2
Just be a trucker in those truck simulators, seems interesting.. also

ETS2 is the best for this.
