Why are some people refusing to apologize for an oopsie that they did and instead just think they are in the right in a situation.
I mean, is this Tywin Lannister Squaring off against the Reynes?
I. DON'T. KNOW!
I mean, there are fancier, better sandwiches, but I enjoyed it.
That sounds painful.
Dang.
I thought it was pretty good.
Honestly, I would like an update. I've not heard of any of the muppets mentioned in the original post.
Like, we've got the report: Situation sub-nominal, resolution unavailable, We don't like X now, and we're solidly Y squad.
But we don't know what, who, why, or whatfor.
I felt as though I had to "finish what I started" even when I realized I was in the wrong.
All I could think was, "well, I've already stated my point, so I have to defend it at all costs."
Maybe that's the reason for other cases, maybe not. Either way, I'm glad to have left that behavior behind.
If you apologize to the "Outrage Brigade" that is the internet in general, it is like blood in the water with sharks...
This outrage mob and "twitterati" will go for your throat then, and start going after you for every little thing you may have ever said that they disagree with, and any apology will be seen as insincere.
So a lot of people will just double down on stupid because it is a lot easier to do than having to apologize to everyone for anything else they have said that "may have offended" someone.
