Being a PC gamer, should I own a PS4?
I know this is a common question but hear me out. Younger days I was a console gamer for sure. I owned them all, PS1, PS2 then Xbox then Xbox 360, One, PS4 at one point, and so on. For many years though I graduated to PC. Built my own, Invested A LOT of money into this rig. Its been a good while now since I played on a console. I've been spoiled with great frame rate and more options as you would expect with PC gaming. I distinctively remember going to a friends house and holding a Xbox One controller again as he wanted me to try Destiny. My first reaction was the frame rate. Horrible. I don't want to sound like a spoiled brat, but I just couldn't play it. FPS on a controller isn't really my preferred style so maybe that had something to do with it. But I just didn't enjoy it. When Fallout 4 came out, I first played on the PC. Shortly after went to a friends house who owned Fallout 4 but for the PS4. I couldn't believe he was playing the game like that. 30 frames but dived during some hard combat. I've been going on and typed to much already, so I'll boil my question down.

I want a PS4. PlayStation specifically because a few games I'm really looking forward to I'm afraid will be exclusive for PlayStation. Last of us Part II and Deep Stranding look so amazing. I know those games probably won't come out for a while, but I loved Last of Us when it came out a few years ago. I'm a big fan of Kojima's games that I'm confident Deep Stranding won't be disappointing. I'm afraid though being spoiled with how PC operates if in the end I'll just end up being disappointed after investing all the money just to play some exclusives. I don't want to bash Sony though, I haven't fallowed them for a while so for all I know there technology may have improved drastically.

Do you think its worth buying a PS4 for these future games?

it sounds like you cant stand slower fps but if the games on ps4 are good enough that the fps wont bother you as much go for it
p.s go for a ps4 pro it is supposed to have better frame rate and be 4k ready

Just got a PS4 myself. Nice to have an expanded library. Got the Playstation Now 7 day trial as well so access to over 450 PS3 games right off the bat.

There is not issue with having both if you feel you can aford it. It just comes down to personal preference. Even buying it for exclusives, you may find you buy more games then just those over time.

Go for it. Dont have that 'Im a PC gamer' mentality. Its okay to play console even though ou play the PC. Just stay away from the communities that hate console.

Im going to put my hur dur mastur rece aside, if you want a ps4, get one, they arent too expensive and if all you want to do is play singleplayer exclusives, it is relatively cheap

I have both a PS4 and a decent laptop to play games on and I almost never touch the PS4. Maybe for a few games of FIFA with friends but thats it. I own Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 on that but I am only halfway through both just because it is on PS4. I just don't end up switching it on.

Also, about the exclusives part they are pretty good. You can always borrow games from your friend so it wouldn't be that bad buying a PS4.

Just buy out of impulse and a futile desire to fill the bottomless hole inside of you; then it takes all the mental effort out of the equation. That's pretty much how I buy all my consoles.

I think its a great combination to have and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, at least then you'd have the benefits of getting the great exclusives PS4 has to offer that you cannot get on PC.

I would say go for it. Me myself I do not have much of a desire in newer game systems because they do not make my type of games anymore or they went ouf of buisness.

I liked more of the cartoon art style of the Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, Sega saturn, Sega Dream cast, Early Nintendo gamecube and Nintendo Gameboy Advance.

I did also like the Super Nintendos and Sega Genesis cartoon style a lot to.

I had two PS4's but always ended up selling them because I play more on PC anyway.
Why I got it a second time was because I was an idiot and wanted to try Bloodborne.
