But, if you're trading through the Steam client, rep is not needed. If someone is trying to get you to trade outside of Steam, and are trying to tell you how trustworthy they are because they have "rep', be very suspicious. Rep is meaningless, easily faked and mainly wanted by people who want to scam others.
Always be suspicious of people claiming to be official steam admin, or approved middlemen (other warning signs of scammers) ...and don't trade your steam items outside of steam, if they're valuable to you.
Level 30: Level pretty much means ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. These days, levelling is so cheap everyone can afford a "high" level so it doesn't really mean much. Don't go into the deal thinking he's insanely reputable just because of his level - same goes even for level 100+ people.
Better to ask this question on the SteamRep forums rather than here though.
Also, Enhanced Steam[www.enhancedsteam.com] is your friend.
Always look it up by copy and pasting their Steam URL. Scammers will often link to another user's profile on their profile in order to trick people into thinking they are legit when impersonating another.
Yea this helped out a lot. Thanks!!
