Is it true that EA will shut down BF3 servers in 2 years?

Probably. They've shut down servers to games that had online only single player content so I don't see why shutting down any other server would be off the tables.

Just be thankful they've given a 2 year warning unlike Darkspore which I recall was only like a month or 2.

But there are still 400+ people playing it right now.

When the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Battlefield 3 servers do eventually go dark, one will most likely have moved on from the game and probably won't even realize or care.
