From the Washington Post:

“It’s great when the critics and audiences are in sync but in the end it comes down to: Has the film reached the intended audience?” said Adrian Smith, Sony’s president of domestic distribution. “Seeing these results, it clearly has.”

Sony is expecting the film, which cost an estimated $50 million to produce, to play well for the rest of the summer.

They just canceled Spyro to make way for more Call of Dooty.

It costed 50M$ to make and will barely get much more money than that.
So it's a failure, just not a total failure

I would have gone to see the popeye movie, i did go back and watched some of the popeye cartoons on youtube and man i came to realisation that olive is not a nice person really fast.

That was one of the weirdest reason to pull a movie out from the cinema. Just bcuz North Korea threatens to bomb u doesn't mean u should pull the movie out. That's not point of making The Interview movie. Lol. Sony ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

What's wrong with Sony right now? They really don't know how to make good movies. First is the Emoji movie getting thrashed hard by critics and now the Dark Tower is getting thrashed as well. Sony needs medical attention right now.
