Any good exploration games out there?
I'm looking for a game that I can play for free, hopefully 3D, that I can go around and explore in, and find some crazy weird creatures and amazing things to marvel at. I would perfer a survival / crafting game. Don't care if it isn't, though. Any suggestions?

I have a feeling that this is a joke,... but no man's sky is 60€ and op asked for a f2p game. Not to mention that it's awful according to reviews. (and there was a huge Drama about devs not delivering what they promised or sth like that)

Hey, try this game:
store.steampowered.com/app/304650/

I'm having an absolute blast with it.
It is a very hard game, especially in the beginning, but you need to understand that this game is an exploration game, not a trading game. You have to take risks, actually you have to constantly take risks, but it is so rewarding.
And the Lore, oh god, the Lore, don´t get me started with it. Absolutely amazing. If you enjoy good writing, please, do yourself a favour and buy this game.
Might look a bit expensive, but it delivers more than most EarlyAccess-Titles on Steam, even more than most exploration games I´ve ever played.

That's how I play Skyrim. I got bored with the main story line very quickly, and most of the "side" quests shortly thereafter. The bulk of my time was spent using survival/needs mods and just exploring, hunting, gathering, and collecting loot. 1k+ hours, and I've still not seen everything.

Astrooneer is a great exploration game. Though it is one of those early access titles.....

My bad missed the free part

And it got some bad reviews part as the Devs did not state clearly at all what will and what will not be on lunch
And second of all users that just did not get what the game was, for what it is an exploration game its pretty good

It's very good for a early access title, with very little bugs and lots of gameplay.
