If you want to talk ONLY and SPECIFICALLY "cereal", then I think millet is typically underrepresented.
I looked it up and it looks...interesting. It looks more like porridge/oatmeal, though.
Defintiely a cereal by definitive classification:

Subkingdom Tracheobionta – Vascular plants
Superdivision Spermatophyta – Seed plants
Division Magnoliophyta – Flowering plants
Class Liliopsida – Monocotyledons
Subclass Commelinidae

Genus Pennisetum Rich. ex Pers. – fountaingrass
Species Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br. – pearl millet

I prefer granola, if I had to go with a cereal.
I didn't have Kix until I was about 16. I was at a friends house spending the night (our PC at home went dead and a new TF2 update came out, he used his laptop and I borrowed their desktop and we played practically all night), and the only cereal they had the next morning was Kix. I was gravely disappointed. That was 10 years of anticipation and it led to eating newsprint colored yellow and sold as a "healthy alternative" to other cereals.
Just buy plain Cheerios/corn flakes.
You might be wondering, "Gee, Cracklin' Oat Bran doesn't sound like a typical favorite for a little kid." Well, there is a story behind this. My maternal grandmother lives quite far away, it was a 2 hour drive to get there. So visits usually lasted several days. Naturally, I'd get hungry and want a snack from time to time while I was there. Now, I'm 5 or 6 years old when this started, so I wasn't really allowed to do much of anything in the kitchen. But I was allowed to make myself a bowl of cereal. Grandma usually had a box of Cracklin' Oat Bran, and it was actually pretty good for something to munch on. Grandma realized that I liked it enough to be happy munching on it between meals if I'm hungry, so she went out of her way to make sure she always had a box whenever I was coming up to visit. Mom would never buy it because it was "too expensive", but Grandma never failed to have a box for me.
It's really not a great cereal, but it always makes me happy and brings back good memories. So now that I'm a grown man and can buy my own damn cereal, I get Cracklin' Oat Bran fairly often. Now that i think about it, I still don't really have it for breakfast, instead I still just munch on it whenever I get hungry between meals.
They're the best, right?
Naturally, Kix is the worst.
Who's with me?"
Not me. I don't value your cereal input. I demand you apologize for holding opinions that aren't mine.
