But the best? C'mon, I'm horrified by the fact that no-one mention Quake! Those moaning, slowly stumbling withered undeads who throw rotten flesh from their own bodies at you and will always get up again until exploded to pieces. That hounding sound of theirs still makes me feel the fear and uneasiness I felt when I first time heard them and didn't know what was coming. Those are the ZOMBIES!
Fallout series. RDR Zombie nightmare. Zombie Army Trilogy. Stubbs. House of the Dead.
come in drove and easy..
yeah try 7th day on 7 days to die and lets talk about easy
I don't give a **** how cool your zombies are, what sort of base you can make, how clever your wits, Nazi zombies set the precedent that you will never win, death wil always get you, and the real fun of life is survival.
As contrasted to 7 Days to Die (a great game) where your fate is in your hands, NZ is a masterpiece. I played 7 Days for quite a while, got killed many times learning the game, but ultimately I found a solution to the zombie hordes and became bored. It doesn't matter that they are without number, or that I have time constraints, I can kill them all and make a nice fruit pie in a lovely, unassailable fortress. We'll have treats, then go Zed-hunting in the morning. I've got screenies to prove my superior design, too. Fun for some, but ultimately boring.
NZ didn't allow any of that. All of your fortifications were temporary, every action was a race against the clock, there were no safe havens aside from what you could make with your team-mates.
That sort of struggle tends to make a home out of even the most disparate players. We may hold only this one corner, all of you may be a$$holes, but everyone wants to survive. It's time to fight and win, even if it just means the one b*****y guy who can't shoot gets the wonder-waffle. No time for deliberation, we'll survive longer if he gets his stuff. Move out!
But I also liked the Dead Space style of alien virus that turned people into monsters with sythes for limbs.
same as in 7 days to die only major difference is that on the 7th night the horde comes and they can literally rip your base to bits
EDIT: And throws them away.
