FPS MMORPG?

Is there a game that's a First Person Shooter, that is also an MMORPG? Like World of Warcraft, or Wildstar, but a First Person Shooter? Or, maybe like Borderlands but an MMO version of it?

I played, Borderlands but that's not an MMO;
I played, Warframe, which is an AWESOME game, but the whole do a mission and return to your spaceship thing takes me out of the game.
I played, Crime Craft, but it's the same thing as Warframe, just not as good.
I played, Fallout 4, but that's not an MMO.

None that I know of and I have been playing MMO's for over 12 years. Tabula Rasa was the only attempt at a true FPS MMO and it died in a fire. The best you could do would be find any action combat MMO and run a ranged class in first person. That isn't going to be easy as most are tab target.

Firefall?
If I recall correctly you can choose if you wanna play TPS or FPS style.

I tried playing Firefall. The game runs, but it never loads. It says it's running in steam, but the game isn't even playing. I had to close it in my Task Manager.
Is there a way around that?

Are there any MMORPG FPS games that are focused on PvE?
I played Planetside2, their controls are clunky, and it's far from being like WoW or Wildstar.

I think it's 3rd person though, but same difference really. It's pretty good from what I remember.

This is the most likely one. It can be first or third, depending on how you want to set it up.

FPS MMOs are not a big thing so the selection is limited.

Destiny is not a real MMO. It is more of a FPS where you can get put into group or group up with others.

As you did no state what system, people always default to PC as you are asking in a PC gaming site and Destiny is only on consoles.

Concerning Firefall, does anybody else have the problem where you click on play, and steam says the game is "Running", but the game never launches?

not free (one time fee for base content) but i would recommend eso
