How to fix lag on PS4?
I play Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege on PS4, they always ran just fine and very very rarely (if not never) lagged. But, ever since a few days ago, I have been rubber banding (being pulled backwards due to lag) in R6S, and my in game connection tracker says that my connection is fine.... What happens in Overwatch is a bit harder to explain, basically, every player in the game freezes on my screen, I can still move, but nobody else is moving (they are still doing the walking animation) then 2 seconds later they instantly appear where they moved to on their screen.

Anyone know how to fix lag on PS4? Please don't simply say "get better internet" as this is not an answer, my games just started doing this a few days ago, and my internet is still the exact same way it was before this lag started. It even still happens when I have all my other devices's WiFi shut off (laptop, phone, etc).

So like I said, any tips on how to fix or lessen this?

I found the best way to deal with console lag is to throw the console away and build a proper PC instead.

This is not an answer to my question.

What's your router?

It's a wifi connection to the PS4?

Ensure there isn't other devices causing interference, such as sub-woofer, speakers, monitor, brick wall, or metal, etc. Any neighbourhood wifi started up on the same channel? Check with a wifi-signal checking app on your smart phone or laptop/pc - find the less crowded wifi channel to use and the strongest signal location without dead zone or packet lost.

If possible, use ethernet cable.

Well, you said not to tell you to get better internet.

Have you tried turning your everything of and then on again?

You need to give more info. Run speedtest, give your up/down speeds and ping number, hardware model numbers, maybe even ask in the playstation forums since this is STEAM.

Perhaps even ask a question like this in THE PROPER forum to begin with. Like the "Hardware and operating systems" forum.

You may get much better help that way. :MMForFun:

Is it a wired or wireless connection? Try wired.
Also on your router/modem check to ensure that UPnP is OFF as this sometimes helps.
