GTA V is now 120gb
With the latest patches and content updates, GTA V (Grand Theft Auto V) folder is now 120gb in size. Discuss

What even takes up all that data anyway? The map size? The sheer amount of content in the game? Fish AI?

That's a really good question. Something i think Rockstar Games should answer because honestly, it's getting out of control. It's the largest game data folder in history, probably. In comparison, GTA V's data is roughly 2 1/2 times larger Witcher 3 (50.2gb including all dlc and free content), which has 100 times more content than GTA V.

What's odd is in Add/Remove Programs it shows GTA V as 121gb. In the main directory C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V.. it shows GTA V as 68.5gb if right-clicking on the folders' properties

Just put it on a hard disc drive and you should be fine. Moving it isn't even hard ether. No, copy and pasting it over won't work.
