It would have been a disservice to the character for Deadpool to be restricted to pg-13.
Too filled with inapporpriate stuff? Nah, in a deadpool movie i want it to be inappropriate and thats my opinion. Its good that you mentioned that it dosen't feel like a hero movie anymore. He really should'nt be considered this innocent/good guy/ super hero guy in the first place. He is his own character and he does "bad guy" stuff (actually kills people) some of the time and that's totally reasonable, complex and maybe realistic in my opinion. Even though the character is totally unrealistic.
That is everything Deadpool is not. He is an anti-hero, not a hero. He is obviously not innocent nor a "good" guy. He just is and does what he wants.
As for Logan? That is not in-line with the comics as it is. It even states as such in the movie. It is more of a drama then a super hero movie, so the rating makes sense due to the content and story. It isn't a typical "stop the bad guys" movie.
As mentioned by others, Deadpool isn't a hero so the "inappropriate stuff" doesn't really distract from that. HOWEVER...in the case of Deadpool i did think the "inappropriate stuff" did distract overall. To me it felt way too forced and way too try-hard. It's like they wrote a movie, then hired a 13 year old to scribbled stuff out and add his own stuff. I'm not a prude, i love profanity, but it's only good when it flows naturally, with Deadpool it's like they intentionally tried to put swear words in between sentences of dialogue. The scene where Deadpool meets Nega Sonic and he says " Nega sonic teenage...what the ♥♥♥♥? That's the coolest name ever! That's a poorly written line, a line a 13 year old who has never written before would write. The humor and effect would have still been there if he had said " Holy...SH*T! That's the cooest name ever!".
It was an alright movie i guess, i only really laughed, like actual laugh not just a chuckle, once. His David Beckham joke was golden.
