Mass effect 2, Liara vs Tali.
Ok so I played ME1 (paragon) and choose Liara over Ashley because Ashley is xenophobic.
And overall liara was fine although she kind of lacks basic human emotions.
In ME2 when Kelly told me Tali is intersted I was sooo happy, I loved tali in ME1 and I grew to love her even more in ME2.

So after the suicide mission(Tali obviously survived XD) I bought and played Liara's DLC, and after I finished it I wanted sheperd to be with Liara so much!
But I still think Tali is amazing...
After thinking a little bit I got to the conclusion that Liara is hotter (cause she doesn't need an exo-suit)
But Tali is cuter and has a better personality (Liara is so formal, and sometimes kind of lacks basic human emotions like jokes in ME1).

So I'm about to start ME3 and I want to choose now with who I'll be for the sake of the story (it will feel more natural to me).
So.... What do you think? Are you a Liara lover? Or a Tali fan?

Liara's race has no sex. They can be male or female. That was something I didn't like.

Tali is completely female.

I'm always gone for Tali right off the bat. Never been interested in the others.

Liara isn't an option in ME 2. She was repalced with Samara and Morinth.

Ashly was my first choice in ME1 with Tali being my choices in two and three.

None, only ever done it for the achievements, the only relationship in a game that was worthwhile was grabbing asses on sims.

Tali.

Asari (Liara) are all women. You can Romance Liara in ME 3 im just not sure if she counts as a full romance.
Take Tali

Not true. The Asari are mono gendered, that is something different. Their whole species has only one gender and that gender is female looking. Also their bodys are female since they give birth and they call their children "daughters".
They can mate with every gender and species and so their species does not need two different genders.

I'm gonna get a fair bit of flak for saying this, but I like Miranda better.

Overall though, it's obvious Liara was intended to be Shepard's canon love interest.

Yeah its really funny how Mass Effect 3 tries to put those two together. Even if you dont have a romance with her, Liara has like 3 times as many scenes with Shepard then any other possible love interest.

That is what I meant by no sex. They are not specifically male or female.

And yet I still turned her down every time in favor of Tali. :steamhappy:

Stuck with Liara through the entire series and Jack was the only other person i considered. Liara became less interesting to me later on, but i still stuck with her. Was so sad Jack had a bit part in 3. She might have been my favorite character. If i was to replay the series i might go with Jack even though she's not the best relationship material.

Tali was cool, but didn't really make a big impression on me. Kasumi was best engineer.

Also, asari are suggested to have genitalia very different than humans, considering they reproduce asexually and lay eggs.

Cant understand all the obsession people have with Tali, she is like cockroach in the diving suit. :steammocking:

Her face always looked weird to me. I don't think they did a good job modeling it off the real person. And i found her to be pretty one dimensional. The backstory about her dead sister or something didn't really add any depth for me.

But i respect your choice.

Yeah, i'm not too keen on all that, but it was pretty slim pickings for me.

Hey, at least Tali knows how to properly spout profanity when she's frustrated.

Her face could have been scanned in better (though it was nowhere near as bad as that reporter in ME3), but then again the alternatives are tentacle hair and a face we've never even seen. Then again, I wouldn't expect 3D models to be particularly attractive.

And I didn't find Miranda to be a one-dimensional character. Behind that veneer of self-confidence and cold perfection, she loathes herself for having been given her superhuman abilities by a father she hates. Because of this, she blames herself for her failures and dismisses her successes as the result of eugenics. Plus, she also undergoes a lot more character developement between her first introduction and her last appearance than most other squad members. Honestly, I think too many people prematurely dismissed Miranda as a mere piece of fanservice.

Overall though, I found Liara and Tali to be better as far as character writing goes, but they have the advantage in screentime.

Since I already had a thing for Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda.

I think it's more of a lighting issue than a modelling issue. http://www.yvonne-strahovski.eu/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Yvonne-Strahovski-Miranda-Lawson-Mass-Effect-3-500x317.jpg
