There are a lot more, but I just listed the ones, that I name off at the top of my head. Still, this list should keep you occupied for a while.
I'll definetly try most of these. But as I said I'm still learning how all this works. I tried a few different mods last night but I couldn't really get any of them to work right. I'd ether just get an error when trying to launch them or it would just load regular doom.
Does anyone know any good tutorials that teach dummies like myself exactly what everything is and where to put it

ZDL is a mod manager where as Zandronum is a source port made to run Doom's main iwad files. You can actually set ZDL to start up Zandronum, GZDoom, or any other mod supported source port and it will load everything for you. The main reason for ZDL is to organize mod load order to help prevent conflicts between mods. Say for example you want to run Brutal Doom Hell on Earth Starter Pack with Doom HD Texture Pack. Well you would have to first set the HD Texture Pack to load first then Brutal Doom V20b, Hell on Earth level wad, and finally the Extra Textures wad. Not doing so in that order will make the HD pack overide the level and extra textures files making them not load properly. I give you an example of my own load order that I am currently using to play the Brutal Doom: Hell on Earth Starter Pack with.

Most of the time the mod pages, or read me files will let you know the order to put them in if you use the ini method. Instead I just put them in the same order they need to be in using ZDL. If I don't see anything about a load order I tend to do test runs to see if I get any crash logs on start up. Otherwise I play for a level, or two to see if anything is out of place like textures, or sound files. If I hear, or see anything that isn't right I will change the order, and start over the play testing do to saves not being compatible once the mod order is changed. Once I find the right order I will click the ZDL button at the bottom of the program and save the load order. This way if I want to play another mod I can do so, and go back to the old mod list by just loading my saved config.
This is basically the same concept that is used for people that play other modded games like Fallout 3/NV, or one of the Elder Scrolls games. They too have a mod load order program that does some what the exact same thing. It takes a bit of getting use to, but once you figure out it's not really that bad.
EDIT: Forgot to note to keep eyes out for source port compatibility listings on the mod's page. One mod may work for one version of the port, and the other might not work with it at all so stay diligent when it comes to source port compatibility.

It's a pretty fun crossover of mario 64 and Doom.
